Condition: Folding copy as published, offsetting and some minor marks, one small hole. Good margins with slight fraying. Later hand colouring.

17th Century Pieter Goos chart of the South Coast of England.
Son of Abraham, he contuinued his father's business and became one of a the group of well known engravers of sea charts in17th century Amsterdam. In common with Colom, Donker and Jacobsz, he published a pilot guide , the 'Zee-Spiegel', basing it on plates obtained from Jacobsz. He published many editions in different languages. Later editions were published by his widow who eventually sold the publishing rights to Jacobus Robijn.
